Two men charged in N. Charleroi robbery
Two men were arrested in North Charleroi Friday afternoon in a robbery incident that involved drugs and a victim under the age of 13.
According to online court records, Charleroi Regional Police arrested Jaron Satterwhite, 22, of Homestead, Friday in North Charleroi. He’s charged with robbery, aggravated assault on a victim under age 13, four felony counts of aggravated assault, receiving stolen property, carrying a firearm without a license, reckless endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is in Washington County jail on $1 million bond set by District Judge Ethan T. Ward.
Donte Warner, 23, of Pittsburgh, also was jailed on $1 million bond for an incident Friday in North Charleroi. Charleroi Regional police charged him with robbery and receiving stolen property.
Police were dispatched to 715 Monongahela Ave. about 4:45 p.m. Friday when a caller said a child just had a gun held to his head. Shortly after police arrived on the scene, they captured Satterwhite after he was seen walking north on the 500 block of Monongahela Avenue. He was positively identified as one of the alleged robbers, police said.
Warner eluded police until he allegedly called his mother and said his legs were broken and he needed help. Using a drone, police said they found Warner laying in a field at 12th Street and Railroad Way. A medical helicopter took him to Allegheny General Hospital.
Also arrested was Derek Scott Sapp, 22, of Washington, one of the alleged victims of the attempted robbery, who ran from the house when police arrived. He is being charged with marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and flight to avoid punishment after he was found with a book bag that contained marijuana.
No shots were fired in the incident, police said.
