Motorists using the Mon Fayette Expressway should be aware of possible delays due to nightly, intermittent traffic paces occurring through Thursday between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. in Washington County. Eight, 20-minute paces will take place throughout each night.

On Wednesday, the paces will affect northbound traffic approaching milepost 35 and continuing to the work zone at milepost 33. The paces will affect southbound traffic today and Thursday approaching milepost 36 and continuing to the work zone at milepost 32. Motorists will encounter a single-lane pattern in this area during daylight hours.

During the 20-minute paces, a state police vehicle will restrict traffic to a speed of 20 to 25 mph, allowing the contractor a window of time to dismantle old overhead sign structures and install new overhead, monotube sign structures, which comply with current industry standards.
