Overturned truck shuts down portion of Pennsylvania Turnpike
CHESWICK, Pa. (AP) — One lane has reopened on a section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike that closed near Pittsburgh because of an overturned tractor-trailer.
Officials say the truck, carrying mail, overturned and caught fire at milepost 46 on Monday morning. It was blocking three eastbound lanes near mile marker 46 before one lane reopened about 8:20 a.m.
The other two eastbound lanes remained closed between the Butler Valley and Allegheny Valley exits.
There’s no word how long it will take to clear the wreck.
