WEST MIFFLIN (AP) – Police say a domestic disturbance led a man to critically wound his wife in the Pittsburgh suburb of West Mifflin.

Allegheny County police say officers found 52-year-old Karen Kadish suffering from a single gunshot wound in a home on Rossmoor Drive about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. She was taken to UPMC-Mercy hospital in Pittsburgh.

Detectives say neighbors reported fighting at the home shortly before the shooting. They arrested 55-year-old Richard Kadish on charges of aggravated assault and attempted homicide.

He was in custody awaiting arraignment early Thursday. Court records don’t list an attorney for him.
