Two injured: Katherine Bails and a passenger in her vehicle, James N. Bails, both of 137 E. Pitt St., Canonsburg, suffered injuries when the vehicle she was driving struck a utility pole in the 100 block of North Central Avenue about 10:45 p.m. Monday, borough police said.

Charges filed: Mercedes Renee Stamm, 23, of 220 Onyx Circle, Chartiers Township, is wanted by township police on charges of theft and receiving stolen property over allegations she stole $4,000 worth of jewelry from a relative about 1:50 p.m. July 13 and later sold the items to a pawn shop for $600, court records show. District Judge David Mark signed a warrant Monday for Stamm’s arrest.

Assault charges: Clintell D. Gillaspie, 20, of 645 Reed Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with simple assault, harassment, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, court records show. Police accuse him of striking Kenadi Lauren Savol repeatedly in the head and pushing her to the ground about 3:30 p.m. July 23 at 404 Park Manor Road. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso sent the case by summons Tuesday.

Drug charges: Marlous L. Johnson, 51, and Bernicky Johnson, 46, both of 409 Reed Ave., were charged Monday with possession of marijuana, manufacturing marijuana and disorderly conduct stemming from a June 9 incident, police said. Police were investigating a domestic dispute between them when she reportedly told them that marijuana was being grown in their backyard. Police said they found 14 individually potted plants, which were confiscated. Bernicky Johnson also faces a criminal conspiracy charge. The charges will proceed by summons from the office of District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Driver charged: Scott E. Ashbaugh, 42, of 403 Finch Lane, West Newton, was charged by state police with drug possession, driving under the influence, driving under suspension and other traffic offenses after a traffic stop July 26 in Monessen. Ashbaugh allegedly told police he had oxycodone and morphine pills in his possession and that his license was suspended. The charges will be sent from the office of District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Man charged: Jason G. Hughes, 40, of 646 Locust Ave., Monessen, was charged Monday by North Belle Vernon police with possession of a small amount of marijuana, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence, loitering and public drunkenness stemming from a 2 a.m. incident at 521 Broad St. An officer allegedly smelled marijuana and saw Hughes on a balcony smoking the drug. When the officer tried to search him, he allegedly threw a pill bottle from his pocket. He then struggled as the officer tried to arrest him, police said. He was arraigned before District Judge Charles Christner and placed in Westmoreland County jail on $5,000 bond.

Drug case: Jacob Peter Pacella, 34, of 1716 Vance Ave., Coraopolis, is charged by township police with drug possession, tampering with evidence, giving police a false identification and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse Pacella of having 26 stamp bags of heroin bearing the marker Joker and kicking drug paraphernalia under his vehicle during a traffic stop about 8 a.m. July 21 along Route 906 south. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges Monday by summons.

Theft alleged: Daniel Webster Brewer III, 32, of 225 Linden Ave., Monessen, is charged by township police with theft and retail theft over allegations he stole $24 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 100 Sara Way, and fraudulently returned it for a gift card about 6:15 p.m. July 18, court records show. The case was mailed by summons Monday from the office of District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Man charged: Terry Lee Workman, 37, of 308 Route 88, Elco, is charged by township police with theft, receiving stolen property and retail theft over allegations he stole tools valued at $983 from Lowe’s, 100 Sara Way, about 11 a.m. May 18 and later sold them to a pawn shop, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges by summons Monday.

Assault charges: Kathie Bennett, 37, of 173 Lenity School Road, Rostraver Township, faces two counts each of simple assault and harassment after police said she punched her husband, Stephen Bennett, and Julie Mudry several times during a domestic dispute at their home early Monday, court records show. She was arraigned before District Judge Charles Christner and released on $10,000 unsecured bond.
