HARRISBURG (AP) – Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred during a funeral procession of other bikers who were paying their last respects to a Pennsylvania man killed in a motorcycle crash last month.

Pennlive.com reports 21-year-old Luis Arroyo was one of about 15 motorcyclists following the hearse carrying the body of their friend, Gerald Soto, on Thursday in Harrisburg. Police say Arroyo fell behind the group and sped up to get back in the procession when a woman driving a car in the opposite direction turned in front of him through a gap in the procession.

The crash that killed Arroyo delayed the funeral procession more than 30 minutes.

Soto, a 29-year-old barber, died July 25, two days after his motorcycle inexplicably crashed into a bridge abutment.
