Both lanes of Interstate 70 westbound between the Taylorstown and Claysville exits in Donegal Township were closed Friday morning after a tractor-trailer rolled onto its side and dumped oil and orange juice on the highway.

Claysville firefighters, who responded to the call about 4 a.m., said the trailer started to break apart during an attempt to upright it. The truck was loaded with orange juice and yogurt.

State police identified the driver of the truck as Todd Darrough, 49, of the state of Indiana. Darrough, who suffered minor injuries, told police he lost control of his rig when he swerved to avoid three deer on the highway.

The interstate was fully reopened by 1:30 p.m.

A second crash was reported in the eastbound lanes in the same area, but was quickly cleared.
