Unsworn falsification charge: Daniel D. Suppers II, 36, of McKees Rocks, was charged Thursday by state police with unsworn falsification and illegal sale or transfer of firearms after he allegedly put false information on an application to purchase a gun Jan. 23 at ARH Sport Shop, 4174 Route 40, Donegal. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
Arrested after chase: Kacee Ryan Pape, 21, of McAdams Avenue, Washington, was arrested by Washington County sheriff’s deputies after a foot chase as they tried to take him into custody on a warrant. Deputies spotted him near the intersection of Donnan Avenue and Sammy Angott Way. He was wanted on a warrant obtained by a Washington County Drug Task Force detective on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of paraphernalia after he allegedly sold the drug to a confidential source last September. Pape was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins on the drug charges and new charges of flight to avoid apprehension and resisting arrest. He was placed in Washington County jail on $150,000 bond.
Tools damaged: Matthew Jeron of Canonsburg told Washington police Wednesday his tools were damaged while in a garage at the rear of 979 Jefferson Ave.
Woman assaulted: Erica Johnson, 22, of Addison Street, told Washington police Wednesday she was pushed down and kicked by another woman as she walked home with her seven-year-old niece from the Eighth Ward playground. Charges are pending.
Tools stolen: Salvatore Lascano of Washington told Washington police Wednesday a nail gun and other construction tools were stolen from 935 W. Chestnut St.
Warrant obtained: Washington police obtained an arrest warrant Thursday from District Judge Robert Redlinger for David Caroppoli, 56, of Springfield, Ohio. He is accused of writing a check from a closed account for $834.50 to C&J Jewelry, 255 Jefferson Ave., July 28. He reportedly purchased a gold cross necklace and a diamond and sapphire ring. Police in Palmer Township, Northampton County, also have a warrant for him charging him with bad checks, retail theft, receiving stolen property and possesssing instruments of a crime from an incident the previous day. City police said he also is accused of similar crimes in Indiana, Ohio and Florida.
Charged in crash: Jessica Fluharty, 42, of 690 Buena Vista St., Washington, was charged this week by Washington police with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine and paraphernalia and damage to unattended vehicles in connection with a June 3 crash in the 800 block of Addison Street. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Theft charge: Lucas Zelina, 29, of Daisytown, was charged this week by Washington police with retail theft after he allegedly stole meat and other items valued at $535.25 Sunday from Shop ‘n Save, 125 W. Beau St. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
