State police in Waynesburg plan to file charges against a Fayette County man over accusations he sped off from an attempted traffic stop Friday in Greene County and later crashed his vehicle into a house.

The charges were pending against Richard Roebuck, 53, of Uniontown, who allegedly drove off when a trooper attempted to stop his vehicle about 5:15 p.m. in the 100 block of East Roy Furman Highway in Monongahela Township.

Roebuck ran into woods, prompting a manhunt, after his vehicle struck another vehicle and a house Masontown Borough, police claim.

He was later captured while running along Route 21 in German Township and taken to Uniontown Hospital because of the injuries he suffered in the crash, police said.
