CANONSBURG

Truck scratched: Cody Noroski of Canonsburg told Canonsburg police Monday that his pickup truck was scratched while parked in a lot in the 500 block of West Pike Street.

Two-vehicle crash: Police said Tim Hamby, 42, of Giffin Avenue, Canonsburg, was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment of a medical condition that apparently caused him to crash his vehicle into the rear of a vehicle driven by Raymond Phillips, 79, of First Street, Canonsburg, Monday on East Pike Street at North Central Avenue.

CHARTIERS

Teen charged: A 15-year-old Houston boy was charged by Chartiers police in a juvenile allegation with having a prohibited offensive weapon after he allegedly brought a stun gun to Chartiers-Houston High School on Thursday.

EAST FINLEY

Driver hurt: Michael A. Gabelt, 51, of Keisterville, suffered a minor injury when the truck he was driving ran off East Finley Drive about 12:30 p.m. Monday, hit a guardrail and a tree, and overturned, state police said.

MORRIS

Assault charge: John D. Denman, 47, of Washington, faces charges of simple assault, strangulation and harassment after he allegedly choked, shoved and grabbed a 50-year-old woman early Aug. 16, causing minor injuries, state police said. He was released from Washington County Jail after posting $25,000 bond.

NORTH BETHLEHEM

Man wanted: Chester Edward Kuczykowski, 35, of 171 Crawford Ave., Deemston, is wanted by state police on charges of theft, trespassing and burglary over allegations he stole five doses of oxyconton and $40 from a resident in the 1,000 block of Brush Run Road about 11 p.m. July 10, court records show. District Judge Curtis Thompson signed a warrant Monday for Kuczykowski’s arrest.

NORTH FRANKLIN

Strangulation charge: Kyle Michael Duff, 30, of 108 Fulton St., North Franklin, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of strangulation and harassment filed against him by township police. He is accused of putting his hands around the throat of a 34-year-old woman during a confrontation at his home Aug. 16. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Assault reported: A 16-year-old North Franklin girl told township police that she was assaulted about 8:30 p.m. Monday while walking in a wooded area in the 700 block of Cleveland Road. She described her attacker as a white man, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and wearing a mask, hooded shirt and blue and white gloves. The area was searched by township police and the Washington police K-9, but no suspect was found.

WASHINGTON

Purse, watch stolen: Marsha Kauffman of 137 Maple Terrace told Washington police Monday that her $300 Michael Kors purse and $450 Apple watch were stolen from her home.

X-box stolen: Amy Jenkins of the 900 block of Jefferson Avenue told Washington police Monday that an X-box was stolen from her apartment. She told police that a woman had been breaking windows to get into apartments in her building. A woman was taken into custody, but she was placed in Washington Hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Mower stolen: H.K. Talebi of 315 Jefferson Ave. told Washington police Monday that his Toro lawn mower was stolen from his yard.

Drug charge: Raymond Shinkle, 19, of 38 W. Walnut St., Washington, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on a warrant obtained by Washington police charging him with possession of cocaine. He allegedly was found with the drug at his home June 26. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.
