Liberty Bridge, Tunnel closure scheduled
The Liberty Bridge and the outbound Liberty Tunnel in Pittsburgh will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday, weather permitting.
The bridge in both directions and the outbound tunnel will close so crews can conduct latex overlay operations on the bridge and do concrete patching work in the tunnel.
The inbound tunnel and PJ McArdle Roadway will remain open the entire weekend. However, motorists using the inbound tunnel will be able to make only a right turn onto McArdle. Motorists on McArdle will not be able to access the outbound tunnel.
All other traffic will be detoured during the closure.
