Construction to begin soon on Castile Run Road bridge
Construction will begin the week of Sept. 5 to replace a bridge on Castile Run Road spanning Castile Run in Morgan Township.
The replacement of the bridge is expected to be completed mid-November. During construction, drivers will follow a detour using Chartiers Road, Route 188, Route 221 and Meadowbrook Road. The project will allow the state Department of Transportation to remove the bridge from the structurally deficient bridge list. The bridge replacement project is being completed under the state’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, involving a public-private partnership between PennDOT and Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners.
