Assault arrest: Robert Playford Lilley Jr., 35, of 12 Hemlock St., Ellsworth, was arrested Friday on a warrant charging him with simple assault and harassment for allegedly throwing a dinner plate at a woman during a confrontation Wednesday. The plate broke, lacerating her arm. She was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

Driver flees: State police are looking for the driver of a white, 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck that went off Clarksville Road near Castile Road, Marianna, about 11:30 p.m. Thursday and crashed into a culvert and several trees. Police said the driver fled. The truck was towed from the scene.

Robbery arrest: Gary Coleman Jr., 24, of 384 Houston St., Washington, was arrested early Saturday after he allegedly robbed his ex-girlfriend, stealing her cellphone, at The Meadows Casino, 210 Racetrack Road, North Strabane. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of robbery, theft and harassment. Coleman was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

Woman arraigned: Rochelle Victoria Harden, 27, of McKees Rocks, was arraigned Friday before District Judge Gary Havelka on felony retail theft and conspiracy charges filed by South Strabane police after she and her sister, Rachel Harden, allegedly stole items from H & M, Tanger Outlets, last month. She was placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond. Her sister was arraigned last week on the same charges.

Driver faces charges: Paul Hatala Jr., 24, of Washington, faces charges including driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic violations after a crash Thursday night on Interstate 70 in the construction zone near the Beau Street exit, South Strabane. State police said he drove at a high speed on the shoulder of the highway to avoid slowed traffic and hit the side of the trailer of a rig. He then left the scene but was later found.

Trespass, drug arrests: Tyler Alexander Haught, 21, who Washington police said is homeless, was arrested early Saturday on charges of criminal trespass and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after he was reportedly found inside a building at 1090 Jefferson Ave. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
