Westmoreland County coroner said a Monongahela woman was fatally stabbed in a murder-suicide inside a home in Mt. Pleasant Borough.

The body of Ashley Ugoletti, 27, of East Main Street, was found Wednesday inside a home at 218 College St. Her death was ruled a homicide by the coroner’s office. Nguyen Tran, 31, who lived in the residence, also was found dead after he apparently hanged himself. The cause of his death was ruled a suicide.

Police have indicated the victims were not in a relationship, but they stopped short of saying why they were together.

Ugoletti had worked as a dancer at Blush, a Pittsburgh strip club.

Earlier this year, Ugoletti and another Blush dancer were charged with prostitution and cocaine distribution after police said they offered a man sex for $1,200, plus cocaine if he paid another $100. That man was an undercover police officer.
