SOMERSET

Assault alleged: Eugene R. D. Hixon, 58, of 64 Hixon Road, Somerset Township, is charged by state police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he struck a woman several times, forcing her head into a vehicle’s windshiel, about 11 p.m. Saturday at his residence, court records show. He is free on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Ethan Ward.
