ATV crash: Caitlyn Margita, 18, of 20 E. Franklin Ave., Dilliner, was charged Thursday with eight summary driving offenses, including failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and operating an all-terrain vehicle under the influence, along two misdemeanor DUI charges. Cumberland Township police said they found two ATVs stopped on Rutters Lane at Nemacolin Road July 29, but both ATV operators drove away when they saw police, almost hitting an oncoming vehicle, according to court documents. Police said the ATV Margita was driving rolled during the chase with passenger Travis Weston on board. Both riders were not wearing seat belts, and police said they noted a large number of both open and unopened cans of alcohol on the ATV. Both riders allegedly told police they and those on the second ATV had all been drinking that evening.

Disorderly conduct charge: Lorie A. Goodson, 47, of 1433 Crucible Road, Jefferson, was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after Cumberland Township police said they responded to a report of a man with a gun and an altercation at Goodson’s residence Oct. 28. According to the criminal complaint, Goodson was yelling at officers and attempting to interfere while they were interviewing witnesses.
