AMWELL

Driver injured: Karen Randall, 42, of Washington, was injured Wednesday when her vehicle struck a deer in the 100 block of Route 19, Amwell, state police said. She was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

BUFFALO

Plate stolen: David Clapp of Washington told state police Tuesday that a registration plate was stolen from a utility vehicle parked at 3493 Route 40, Buffalo.

CALIFORNIA

Charged in theft: James J. Zober, 56, of 510 Liberty St., California, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of theft and receiving stolen property filed by California police. He is accused of stealing an aluminum boat in October and selling it at a scrap yard. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Underage drinking charge: Christina Wichert, 18, of Charleroi, was charged this week with underage drinking stemming from a Nov. 24 incident in the 100 block of Liberty Street. Police said she was on probation in Ohio and was wearing a restricted ankle bracelet. She was transported by Washington County sheriff’s deputies to an Ohio correctional facility.

Charged in crash: Jesse Daniel Tatsch, 24, of Monessen, faces charges filed by two police departments stemming from a Nov. 21 crash. California Unversity police charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol after he reportedly struck a parked vehicle in the river parking lot. California police charged him with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, careless driving and reckless driving after reportedly finding him with his vehicle in the 300 block of Third Street. Charges were sent by summons this week from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

CANONSBURG

Faces theft charge: Samuel Bruno III, 21, of 807 First St., Canonsburg, faces charges including theft after he allegedly was caught late Wednesday with items reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Giffin Avenue. Canonsburg police said the charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

DONEGAL

DUI alleged in crash: Katherine R. Massey, 44, of Allison, Fayette County, was charged Monday by Donegal police with driving under the influence of alcohol, damage to attended vehicles and careless driving after police say her pickup truck crashed into another vehicle Nov. 7. Police said she was going east on National Pike near Toll Gate Road when she crossed into the opposite lane, hitting an oncoming vehicle. She told police she swerved to avoid hitting a deer. Police said her blood-alcohol content was almost double the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

Theft, receiving charges: James P. Brady, 45, of 872 Route 231, Claysville, was charged Thursday by Donegal police with theft, receiving stolen property, simple trespass and criminal mischief. He is accused of stealing the hoods and doors from two vehicles parked Oct. 13 at 19 Staley Road and selling them for scrap at a Canton Township scrap yard. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

NORTH FRANKLIN

Game players stolen: Tiffanie Connors and Justin Gentry of 159 Fulton St. told North Franklin police early Thursday that a Playstation 2, along with controllers and a charger, and an Xbox were stolen from their home.

NOTTINGHAM

Driver injured: Charles Reichel, 28, of New Eagle, was slightly injured Tuesday morning when his vehicle struck a tractor-trailer on Route 136 near Crest Lane, Nottingham. State police said he was driving too fast for conditions when his vehicle slid into the opposing lanes and spun into a rig driven by Liben Kumesa, 41, of Austin, Texas. Reichel will be charged with failure to drive at a safe speed.

SOMERSET

Theft, trespass charges: Michael A. Carroll, whose last known address was on Hall Avenue in Washington, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of theft, conspiracy and criminal trespass filed by state police in 2015 in connection with an August 2014 incident. He is accused of stealing items valued at $2,500 from Roc Services, Rainey Road, Bentleyville. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.

WASHINGTON

Probation violation alleged: Justin Barfield, 34, of Washington, was taken into custody Wednesday by Washington police on a probation violation after he allegedly violated a protection-from-abuse order filed against him. Barfield was placed in Washington County Jail on the probation violation.

Packages stolen: Doris Daugherty of 530 W. Chestnut St. told Washington police Wednesday that two packages that had been delivered by mail were stolen from outside her home.
