One taken to Weirton Medical after Hanover crash

One person was taken to a nearby hospital Sunday afternoon following a one-vehicle accident on Route 22 in Hanover Township.

A Washington County 911 supervisor said a pickup truck in the eastbound lanes reportedly hit a guardrail and traveled into the median about 2:40 p.m. The accident occurred near the one-mile marker, not far from the West Virginia line.

One person was taken by ambulance to Weirton (W.Va.) Medical Center. Further details weren’t immediately available.
