AMWELL
Theft: Two batteries were stolen from Golden Triangle Construction trucks between 5 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday, state police said.
BENTLEYVILLE
Drug charge: Devin Sadler, 35, of 602 Water St., Brownsville, is being charged with marijuana possession and other offenses after being pulled over by a Bentleyville police officer on Monongahela Street about 12:30 a.m. for a rear brake light being out. According to police, a smell of marijuana was coming from the vehicle, and the officer said they found marijuana and a digital scale after Sadler was searched. A further search found $155 in currency, baggies of suspected cocaine, crack cocaine and an unknown white powder, according to police. A smartphone was also taken, which continued to receive calls and messages consistent with narcotics trafficking, police said. Sadler is being held in Washington County jail on $25,000 straight bond.
SOUTH STRABANE
Collision: A vehicle driven by Scott Paulsen, 58, of Washington, and a vehicle driven by Gregory Kroeger, 61, of Hannibal, Mo., collided in the eastbound lane of I-70 Thursday about 2:55 p.m., police said. Paulsen’s car spun into a concrete barrier following the collision. Neither Paulsen nor Kroeger was injured.
