Fire marshal investigates blazes
A state police fire marshal investigated the causes of several recent fires in Greene and Washington counties.
A Jan. 30 fire that damaged a house owned by Lori Gallagher at 379 Woodies Road, Morgan Township, Greene County, was ruled accidental, and the cause determined to be electrical.
An electrical malfunction was ruled as the cause of an accidental fire early Thursday that damaged a house owned by Donald Dixon, 1084 Carl Drive, West Pike Run Township.
A fire Thursday afternoon that damaged a house owned by John Kosek of Canonsburg at 855 Grove Ave., Canton Township, was ruled accidental and was caused by a wood-burning stove.
