Passenger injured in one-vehicle accident
One passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment after the vehicle he was riding in struck a parked car on East Maiden Street Monday afternoon.
The accident was reported about 3:40 p.m. after a 2006 Honda CR-V rear-ended a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze that was parked on the 300 block of the street.
A city patrol officer said a 16-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Honda was trasported to Washington for bleeding of his mouth.
Late-afternoon traffic continued to flow with police directing traffic at times while first responders cleared the scene and the vehicles were towed from the scene.
