It could take weeks to make a final determination of the cause and manner of death for the Waynesburg University student who died in his dormitory, as investigators await the results of toxicology tests, authorities said Tuesday.

Both the Greene County coroner’s office and Waynesburg police said they are awaiting the toxicology report from the state crime lab to determine how Bradley Grinnen, 21, of Ellwood City, died.

Forensic pathologist Cyril Wecht performed the autopsy on Grinnen in Pittsburgh Monday afternoon. Toxicology tests typically take weeks or months to be returned.

The body of Grinnen, a junior at the school, was discovered inside Willison Hall about 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning, although investigators have declined to say who found him or provide information about other circumstances surrounding his death.
