Bridge replacement on Route 88 in Charleroi planned
The state Department of Transportation along with Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners will hold an open house and plans display from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Charleroi Borough Building about the replacement of a bridge on Route 88 in Charleroi and Speers. The bridge project is part of the Pennsylvania Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, a public-private partnership between PennDOT and PWKP.
The bridge is between Grandview Way and First Street on Route 88 and sits adjacent to the Authority of the Borough of Charleroi building. The meeting will provide information on the project’s status, schedule, design and traffic control plans. PennDOT and PWKP representatives will be available to answer questions related to the project.
