Police beat Feb. 17
Receiving charge: Charles Raymond Fetsko, 34, of Daisytown, was arraigned last week before District Judge Mike Delfino on charges of access device fraud and receiving stolen property stemming from a Dec. 24 incident at A-Plus Sunoco, 565 High St., Brownsville, Fayette County. He was placed in Fayette County Jail on $10,000 bond.
Harassment, disorderly charges: Bradley James Sledge, 19, of Connellsville, was charged by California police with harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from a Feb. 9 incident at 431 Vulcan Village. He is accused of harassing an ex-girlfriend, police said. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Threat alleged: Edwin Green, 42, of 310 Fifth St., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with making terroristic threats over allegations he said he would blow up Nokomis Inc., 310 Fifth St., about 2:20 p.m. Wednesday if the company did not give him his paycheck after he was recently fired from his job, court records show. Green is in Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond.
Men jailed: Robert Gomer Williams, 48, of 213 Sixth St., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with drug possession and criminal use of a cellphone stemming from a search of his clothing. Officers allegedly found two suspected rocks of crack inside one of his pockets outside 604 Fallowfield Ave. about 9 a.m. Thursday, court records show. Leonard James Skubic, 53, of 713 Washington Ave., Charleroi, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from the same call. Williams is in Washington County Jail on $100,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins. Hopkins jailed Skubic on $35,000 bond.
Theft reported: A Hyperfire trail camera and a cable lock were reported stolen Wednesday from a Range Resources gas well pad at 386 Ridge Road, state police said. The theft occurred between Friday and Wednesday.
Club cited: The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement charged the officers of the Franco Belgium Beneficial Society, 640 Third St., Monessen, with possessing illegal gambling devices stemming from three incidents in August and two in December. The citation was issued last week.
Purse stolen: A Prosperity woman told South Strabane police Wednesday afternoon that her purse was stolen while she was at Laboratory Presbyterian Church, 23 Manse St. She told police that a white man in his mid 20s, about 6 feet tall, with a muscular build and dark hair, came into the church looking for help. She took him to meet the pastor to get financial assistance. When he left, she realized her purse was gone. It contained two checkbooks, credit cards and restaurant gift cards. He wore dark-rimmed glasses, a dark jacket and dark pants. Police checked businesses in the area, but no one recalled seeing the thief.
Escape warrant: State police obtained a warrant Wednesday from District Judge Larry Hopkins for the arrest of Levi Cody Seman, 25, of Stockdale on charges of escape and flight to avoid apprehension. Seman allegedly fled from Fayette County probation officers during a compliance check Tuesday night at 13 Spruce Way, Stockdale.
Driver faces charges: City police said Joshua Ricker, 29, of 12 Covered Bridge Road, Washington, faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after crashing his pickup truck into a parked car early Wednesday on Murray Avenue. Police said Ricker, who was clearly intoxicated, was taken to Washington Hospital, where blood was drawn.
