State police issue nearly 300 traffic citations
State police from Troop B conducted a 48-hour traffic-enforcement detail Monday and Tuesday on Interstate 79 in Washington, Greene and Allegheny counties and Interstate 70 in Washington and Westmoreland counties.
Police issued 299 traffic citations and 49 warnings. Two drivers were arrested on active warrants. One person was arrested for a firearm violation and another for a drug violation.
State police remind drivers to pay attention to the speed limit, use only the left lane for passing, yield to emergency vehicles and leave a safe distance between their car and the vehicle in front of them.
