Customer robbed at Rostraver Rite Aid
Rostraver Township police are looking for a woman who robbed a customer at a Rite Aid store Sunday morning.
The robber approached a 44-year-old Elizabeth woman about 11:20 a.m. inside the store at the intersection of Route 201 and Finley Road after entering the store about five minutes earlier and lurking around the front of the business.
The victim told police the robber had her hands inside her sweatshirt pocket, and told the victim she is a junkie and had a gun.
The robber than ordered the Elizabeth woman to give her purse. She then reached for the purse while the victim, in an effort to protect herself, grabbed the robber.
The two were involved in an altercation near the main entrance when an employee came to the aid of the victim and forced the robber to the floor, pulling off her sweatshirt.
The robber grabbed her shirt, left the store and walked in the direction of the McDonald’s restaurant. Police said the victim broke her leg in the altercation.
The robber is white, in her mid 20s and has a medium build, shoulder-length, curly black hair and is about 5 feet tall.
She wore royal blue sweat pants, black shoes and a charcoal gray sweatshirt with words across the chest.
