Daisytown man killed
A Daisytown man died Thursday when two tractor-trailers collided on Interstate 80 west of Route 15 in Union County.
William J. Piktel, 56, of Daisytown, was driving on I-80 eastbound when the front end of his rig struck the rear of a truck driven by Travis W. McCloe, 48, of Dallas, Luzerne County, according to state police at Milton.
Piktel was killed in the crash.
McCloe and a passenger were not hurt, police said.
The crash shut down the eastbound lanes of I-80 for nearly 11 hours.
