Robinson supervisors have approved a natural gas processor’s plans for a third compressor station Monday.

Supervisors held a public hearing Dec. 22 on the processor’s conditional-use application to build a station off Sunnyhill Road near the line with Findlay Township, Allegheny County. Officials elected during that meeting to delay a vote so all three supervisors could be present.

On Monday, supervisors unanimously approved the plans, which call for a station housing six natural gas-fired compressor engines on a roughly eight-acre well pad.

The township approved the building of the first two compressor stations by MarkWest in 2015.
