Storage unit break-in: A storage unit at Lone Pine Self Storage, 75 Lone Pine Road, was entered when the lock was removed between mid-November and Wednesday, the renter reported to state police. Taken were two ladder stands, an above-ground pool with filter pump, a grill, pans and five fishing rods.

Two charged: Randy M. Thomson, 26, and Shana R. Tokar, 28, both of 316 Church St., Bridgeville, were charged last week by state police in connection with a Nov. 26 traffic stop on North Central Avenue in Canonsburg. Both were charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana and paraphernalia. Thomson also was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and traffic violations. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Assault, harassment charges: John Albert Work, 47, of 921 Wayne St., Canton, was charged this week by state police with simple assault and two counts of harassment. He is accused of hitting a man in the back and back of the head and knocking a woman to the floor during a Jan. 1 confrontation at his home. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

DUI, drug charges: Michael D. Willhoft, 29, of 507 Wayne St., Canton, was charged by state police with possession of heroin and paraphernalia and driving under the influence of a controlled substance in connection with a November 2015 traffic stop on Findlay Street, Canton. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Animal cruelty alleged: Marci Jo Klinzing, 48, and William Moore, 67, both 8 Crossroads Road, Chartiers, were charged Tuesday by township police with eight counts of cruelty to animals for allegedly failing to provide adequate shelter for their eight dogs. Township police went to the residence with a humane officer Dec. 13 after the two were warned previously by the humane officer about keeping the dogs in an unsafe area. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Wife charged: Adeline Steede, 35, of 111 Ivy Court, Chartiers, was charged this week by township police with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment after she allegedly threatened her husband with a knife during a Jan. 5 confrontation at their home. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Drug charges: Adam Simonin, 32, of 122 Lakewood Drive, McMurray, was charged this week by state police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia as well as a traffic violation stemming from an April 13 stop on East Pike Street, Houston. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Field damaged: McDonald police said an off-duty officer spotted a blue Ford F-150 pickup truck doing “donuts” on the Heritage Park baseball field Tuesday night. Police determined the vehicle is owned by a West Mifflin resident. A council member told police that significant damage was done. The investigation is continuing.

Truck burned: McDonald police said a Ford F-150 pickup truck was found burned Tuesday on the side of a trail off Candor Road, Robinson. The truck was moved, and the National Insurance Crime Bureau was notified. The database is being searched to determine if a truck was stolen in Pennsylvania, Ohio or West Virginia.

Driver injured: Scott Campbell, 51, of Greensburg, was slightly injured when his vehicle was struck by a white tractor-trailer about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 70 eastbound in Somerset Township. State police said Campbell was in the left lane when the rig moved from the right lane, hitting his vehicle.

Unit entered: James Shaw of East Washington told South Strabane police Tuesday his unit was entered at Wilson Self Storage, 8 Country Club Road. Stolen were a table saw, mitre saw, kitchen faucet set and pressure washer.

Harassment charge: Stephanie Grayson, 31, of 666 Fayette St., Washington, was charged with harassment by Washington police after she allegedly sent harassing text messages to her estranged husband over the last week.

Cash, card stolen: Washington police said $30 and a $10 Target gift card were reported stolen Wednesday from an office at 289 North Ave.
