A Houston man is in jail after allegedly threatening another man with a handgun and beating up a woman early Saturday morning at a residence on East Grant Street in Houston.

Police said the victims, Brandon Henderson and Cori Lynn Henderson, who are cousins, were pulling into her driveway, at 333 East Grant St., when Corey Daquan Thacker allegedly held a gun up to the driver’s side window, pointing it at Brandon.

Thacker, 22, who shares a residence with Cori Lynn, allegedly told Brandon to roll down the window, police said. As Brandon was trying to explain he and Cori Lynn were cousins, Thacker allegedly told him to get out of the car, according to the criminal complaint.

Police said the gun was still pointed at Brandon’s head when he exited the vehicle, which was still in gear. The car drifted forward through a Fairmont Street yard and struck a parked car.

Thacker then asked Cori Lynn “why she wasn’t answering her phone,” the complaint said.

Police said Brandon decided to “make a run for it” and fled the scene on foot, after which Thacker allegedly struck Cori Lynn multiple times causing injuries to her eye.

Thacker was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, two counts of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and two counts of harassment. He is being held at Washington County jail on $50,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Feb. 1 before District Judge David Mark.
