Two Greene County men were sentenced Wednesday by Greene County Judge Lou Dayich.

Jamie Allen Carter, 40, of 71 Route 21 Mobile Home Park in Carmichaels, who was found guilty of theft and receiving stolen property after a November jury trial, was sentenced to 2 to 4 years in state prison with credit for time served since July 18.

Carter stole an $8,000 hay rake from a West George Street property in Cumberland Township July 13. Dayich said in his order that he was taking Carter’s prior criminal record into consideration for sentencing.

Ryan Shane Conard, 27, of 109 Maple St., Dilliner, who pleaded guilty in November to driving under the influence of a controlled substance and four traffic summary offenses, was sentenced to 90 days to 5 years in jail. He also will have to pay $1,560 and complete 120 hours of community service, with any 12-step recovery meetings counting as an hour of that service.

Conard was stopped for a traffic violation on State Route 88 in Monongahela Township and failed a sobriety test. Police said his blood tested positive for marijuana, Xanax and Adderall.
