Vietnam vet’s photo located
A photo of a Washington County man killed in the Vietnam War has been found.
After a story appeared in the Observer-Reporter on Jan. 15, a photo of Washington native Robert A. Sikon was found for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall of Faces.
According to Susan Meighen, director of veterans affairs for Washington County, a high school classmate of Sikon contacted the department last week and provided his obituary with a photo, which she had kept in her Bible since his death in 1967.
Meighen said a photo is still needed for Donald Willis McCammon, an Army platoon sergeant from West Alexander.
