Police beat Jan. 25
Man arraigned: Eric Ryan Huweart, 19, of Coal Center, was arraigned Monday before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct for allegedly breaking into a home at 330 South Ridge Road, Coal Center, several times after being told he was not permitted to be there, California police said. He also was arraigned on charges of receiving stolen property and having fraudulent license plates filed against him last month by California police. He was placed in Washington County Jail without bond because of his history of not responding to hearing notices, police said.
Three charged: Avery Nzingh Coles, 20, and Tyrico Jamar Taylor, 20, both of Pittsburgh, and Janey Lynn Myers, 19, of Johnstown, were charged by California police with retail theft for allegedly stealing items from Dollar General, Wood Street, on Dec. 31.
Warrant issued: Charles Ray Nobles, 28, of 2110 Arlington Ave., Pittsburgh, is charged by township police with making terroristic threats over allegations he threatened to injure his former girlfriend from Jan. 1 to 3 at her residence on Marion Street Extension, court records show. District Judge Mark Wilson signed a warrant Monday for Nobles’ arrest.
Theft allegations: Tyler Andrew Gump, 25, of 1015 W. First St. Grindstone, is charged by township police with two counts of theft over allegations he stole $20 Nov. 21 and again on Dec. 27 from cashiers at Giant Eagle, 1300 Country Club Road, court records show. Police accuse Gump of paying for merchandise with $50 bills and hiding $20 in change to accuse the store of shortchanging him. District Judge Mark Wilson signed a warrant Friday for Gump’s arrest.
Drug arrest: Bradley M. Castor, 25, of 305 Washington Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Monday by Charleroi Regional police on charges of criminal use of a communications facility, possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after he allegedly was found with two bricks of suspected heroin. Police had gone to his home to talk with him about suspected drug activity at the residence and were reportedly given permission to search it by a woman who lives there. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.
PFA violation alleged: Gary Mariani, 66, of Whitetail Lane, Chartiers, was arrested Monday by township police for allegedly violating a protection-from-abuse order by contacting his wife. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and released from Washington County Jail after posting $25,000 bond.
Vehicles entered: Cara Ford of Ruth Street told Chartiers police Tuesday that three unlocked vehicles were entered at her home. Stolen from the vehicles were cash, loose change, a cellphone and an Adidas bag.
Mini-bike stolen: William Duke of Governors Circle told Chartiers police Monday that a red and white Honda XR-80 mini-bike was stolen from his home.
Theft alleged: Alexis M. Jones-Fleming, 20, of 22 S. McKean Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with theft, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse Jones-Fleming of stealing a laptop from her sister, Allure Jones, about 5 p.m. Jan. 5 and later pawning it for $185 in North Belle Vernon. Jones-Fleming is in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond set Friday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Gun threat alleged: Luz Diaz, 37, of 337 Short St., Monessen, is charged by city police with making terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, simple assault and disorderly conduct, court records show. Police accuse Diaz of threatening to shoot three girls during a large disturbance near her residence about 6 p.m. Sunday. She is in Westmoreland County jail on $10,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Woman charged: Rachel Marie Gerhold, 33, of 321 Main St., Belle Vernon, is charged by city police with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct, court records show. Gerhold is accused of speeding off while an officer had his hand in her vehicle’s door handle, causing pain to his shoulder while he was investigating a child custody dispute involving her two children at 132 Pennsylvania Ave. about 9:50 p.m. Jan. 18. She is free on $10,000 bond set the following day by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Assault alleged: Lloyd Dwane Gaston, 60, of 922 Byrn Mawr Road, Pittsburgh, is charged by city police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he scratched the neck of his girlfriend, Patricia Congdon, at 210 Oneida St., Monessen, about 8 p.m. Jan. 19, court records show. Gaston is in Westmoreland County jail on $2,500 bond set the following day by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Assault charge: Lebarron E. Law, 23, of 619 Lincoln St., was arrested Monday by Monongahela police after he allegedly assaulted his sister during a confrontation over a cellphone charger. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis on charges of simple assault and harassment. Law was placed in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.
Woman charged: Denise Gayle Williams, 38, of 215 Chess St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with prostitution, possessing a small amount of marijuana and eight stamp bags of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse her of using a website to offer sex to an undercover officer for $80 at her residence about 8:30 p.m. Sunday. District Judge Mark Wilson sign a warrant Monday for Williams’ arrest.
Two charged: Faith Henderson, 19, of 28 S. Johnson Road, Houston, and Brandon Coffield Provenzano, 21, of 375 Cracraft Road, Washington, were charged last week by North Franklin police in connection with a Jan. 13 incident at Forty Bar & Grille, 3390 W. Chestnut St. An employee called police over concerns that a young woman, later identified as Henderson, was getting drinks provided by a man later identified as Coffield Provenzano. Henderson showed police a South Carolina driver’s license that had another name and proved to be bogus, police said. Henderson is charged with false identification to police, carrying false identification, misrepresenting her age to get alcohol and underage drinking. Coffield Provenzano is charged with misrepresenting that a minor was of age. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Vehicle entered: Shai Alesabeth Beckner of Richeyville told state police Monday night that her wallet containing a credit card and her infant son’s Social Security card were stolen from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked Monday night on Hickory Street, Richeyville.
Man jailed: Chase Alexander O’Brien, 18, of 617 Lincoln St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with unlawful restraint, simple assault and criminal mischief over allegations he choked and struck Kaitlynn J. Greyschock in the face while preventing her to leave a Hampton Inn, 1561 Broad Ave., about 7:30 a.m. Saturday, court records show. O’Brien is in Westmoreland County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.
Theft alleged: John Crews Miller, 32, of 1035 Whitney Court Drive, Latrobe, is charged by township police with theft and receiving stolen property over allegations he made a fraudulent return in the amount of $274 at a Walmart, 100 Sara Way, about 7 p.m. Dec. 16. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges last week in a summons.
Theft allegations: David Ray Sepesky, 38, of 60 Pennsylvania Boulevard, Monessen, is charged by township police with theft and receiving stolen property over allegations he made a fraudulent return in the amount of $104 at a Walmart, 100 Sara Way, about 7:50 p.m. Jan. 12, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges in a summons last week.
Bogus money: Washington police said 11 counterfeit $100 bills were used earlier this month to make a purchase at Advance Auto, 537 Jefferson Ave. Some of the items were returned for a refund at the store at 354 E. Maiden St., and attempts made to return items at a store in Maryland, police said. The incident was reported Monday.
Vehicle hit: Rhee Ellis of East Chestnut Street told Washington police Monday that her vehicle was hit by bricks thrown by juveniles.
Card stolen: Pamela Phillips of East Prospect Avenue said her credit card was stolen and used to make eight transactions for $114.66. Police have a suspect.
