Police beat Jan. 27
Trespass citation: Adnan Al-Ghurairi, 32, of Pittsburgh, was cited by California police with simple trespass after an argument Jan. 21 at California Terrace. According to the report, Al-Ghurairi refused to leave the premises.
Gun stolen: A Springfield XDS 9mm handgun was stolen from a man’s vehicle while it was parked in Fredericktown between Sunday and Wednesday, state police said.
Drug charge: Jacob Woods, 19, of 1005 Upper Crest Ave., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with possessing three Xanax pills and drug paraphernalia while a student at Charleroi Area High School, 100 Fecsen Drive, about 9 a.m. Tuesday, court records show. He is in Washington County jail on a probation violation and $35,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Man jailed: Charles Fetsko, 34, of 97 Main St., Daisytown, is charged by state police with receiving stolen property over allegations police discovered him asleep in a stolen vehicle parked on Hillman Street about 1 p.m. Wednesday, court records show. He is in Washington County jail on a warrant from a Fayette County burglary case and $75,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Theft allegation: Geary J. Shipley, 55, of 335 Washington Ave., Charleroi, is charged by township police with theft and receiving stolen property over allegations he returned stolen merchandise valued at $188 at Walmart, 100 Sara Way, about 9 p.m. Jan. 19, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges in a summons Wednesday.
Drug charge: Alisha D. Crayne, 27, of 204 Trout Drive, New Alexandria, is charged by township police with possessing one stamp bag of heroin and drug paraphernalia stemming from a complaint about drug use in a vehicle parked at Walmart, 100 Sara Way, about 4 p.m. Jan. 19, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges in a summons Wednesday.
Phony bill charges: Taylor Rajeen Harrison, 25, of 413 Ontario St., Monessen, is charged by township police with forgery and theft over allegations she used a counterfeit $100 bill to purchase food at Taco Bell, 220 Tri County Lane, about 10:30 a.m. Aug. 15, court records show. Police filed the charges Wednesday before District Judge Joseph Dalfonso. Harrison is in Westmoreland County jail on unrelated charges.
Trespass, theft charges: John J. Grega, 26, and Kourtnee S. Marshall, 28, both of Clarksburg, W.Va., were placed in Washington County jail Wednesday on charges stemming from an incident at Kohl’s, 353 Washington Road. According to township police, Grega fled and Marshall provided a false name after employees allegedly saw them take items from the store. Grega and Marshall, who were both banned from differenct Kohl’s locations, were charged with criminal conspiracy, retail theft, defiant trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in jail on $25,000 bonds. Preliminary hearings are scheduled Feb. 7 before District Judge Jay Weller.
Charges filed: Jessica K. Smith, 28, of 1546 Jefferson Road, Jefferson Township, Greene County, appeared before District Judge Robert Redlinger Thursday for her preliminary arraignment on charges of theft and drug possession filed by the state attorney general’s office. Smith was terminated from her job as a pharmacy technician at Washington Hospital in August. She allegedly admitted to taking opioid painkillers and other prescription drugs from a cabinet in the hospital after hospital officials noticed discrepancies in drug inventory. Smith is free on $5,000 unsecured bond set by Redlinger.
Items stolen: Kenneth Davis of Jefferson Avenue reported to city police someone entered his home between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday and took a Magnavox TV, blue and gray Nike shoes, a computer tablet and Sony audio equipment.
Equipment stolen: A Washington man reported $1,000 of HVAC equipment was taken from his unlocked work van while it was parked in the 400 block of Duncan Avenue Wednesday. A black and red bicycle found beside the van was taken by Washington police as evidence.
