Fire destroys Fallowfield Township home
An overnight fire destroyed a home in Fallowfield Township.
According to Fallowfield Township Volunteer Fire Company Chief Anthony Fleming, a fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in a home on Riverview Avenue. Fleming said no one was home at the time. A third party called 911 to report the flames.
“By the time anyone saw, it was pretty much destroyed,” he said. “It’s in a pretty remote area.”
Fleming said it’s not clear if anyone was living in the home. The cause remains unknown.
Crews left the area around 5 a.m. Assisting were fire departments from Charleroi, Stockdale, Valley Inn and Washington Township.
Fleming said the state police fire marshal was notified.
