The state Department of Transportation released a schedule of upcoming construction projects in Washington County.

Reconstruction of a section of Route 481 between Kennedy and Grange roads in Fallowfield Township begins at 8 p.m. Tuesday and is scheduled to be complete at 6 a.m. Sunday.

A single-lane restriction will be in place on the section of road that runs under Interstate 70 at the Monongahela/Centerville exit. The 24-hour restriction will be controlled by flaggers.

Construction of the Plum Sock Road (Route 221) bridge, spanning Tenmile Creek in Morris Township, is scheduled to begin the week of July 24 and to be complete in early December. During construction, an alternating traffic pattern will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.

Construction of the Oak Ridge Road (Route 4061) bridge, spanning Brush Run in Blaine and Hopewell townships, also is scheduled to begin the week of July 24 and to be complete in early October. Motorists will be directed to follow a detour along Brush Run Road (Route 331) and Buffalo Creek Road (Route 221) during construction.

Part of the Rapid Bridge Replacement project, replacement of the bridges will allow them to be removed from Washington County’s structurally deficient list.
