Burglary: State police are investigating a burglary that happened in the 400 block of Woodies Road in Morgan Township about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police said a 72-year-old woman left her home around 9:15 a.m. and 15 minutes later two men in a white van were parked in her driveway. Police said a neighbor approached the van and asked the driver what he was doing, just as the second man came running from behind the residence and got into the van. Both drove away and there was no registration plate on the vehicle, police said. Police said nothing appeared to be stolen from the residence, but the back door had been forced open.

Crash: State police said a driver escaped injury in an early morning, one-vehicle crash Tuesday on Apple Hill Road. Police said Brian K. Bennett, 25, of Waynesburg, was driving west about 1:40 a.m. when his vehicle left the road and struck a fence and utility pole.
