The West Greene High School state champion softball team rode into the Jacktown Fair in Wind Ridge on the grand marshal float Tuesday evening.

Several community and veterans groups helped to usher in the start of the annual Jacktown Fair during a parade into the fairgrounds in this file photo from 2017. The fair will not be held this year due to the pandemic, but several contests will be offered.
