Police Beat July 19
Drug charges: Rebecca L. Reynolds, 32, of 441 S. Eighty Eight Road, Carmichaels, was charged by Cumberland Township police with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a Nov. 4 incident at the Shop ‘n Save in Carmichaels. Police said they responded to the call of a woman sleeping in a van with children inside that afternoon in the Shop ‘n Save parking lot. Reynolds told police she was tired from being sick and not sleeping, according to the criminal complaint. Police said they found her to be in possession of 1.76 grams of MMB-Fubinaca, a schedule 1 controlled substance, and a glass smoking device.
Drug paraphernalia: Justin R. Somerville, 19, of 1000 E. High St., Waynesburg, was charged by Waynesburg police with possession of a controlled substance and five counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, following an incident Monday night. Police said they noticed the smell of burning marijuana as they patrolled South Washington Street in the borough about 8 p.m. They found Somerville with a marijuana cigarette on the side of an apartment complex at 206 S. Washington St. Police also found him to be in possession of three smoking devices, two grinders and baggies of marijuana.
