Drug case: Joseph G. Misanik, 38, of 315 Seventh Ave., New Eagle, is charged with possessing one stamp bag of heroin with intent to deliver and possessing heroin paraphernalia as a patient in Mon Valley Hospital, 1163 Country Club Road, about 3 p.m. Tuesday. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges via summons Wednesday.

Hit-and-run: State police said a vehicle driven by Ronald L. Baird, 69, of Ellsworth, sideswiped an oncoming vehicle driven by Rosa Romano, 43, of Bentleyville, at 10:18 p.m. Tuesday on Main Street and fled. Police said Baird’s vehicle was found stuck in a yard a short distance down the street. He was taken to Washington Hospital, where police said blood was drawn to determine his blood-alcohol level. He will be charged with duty to give information and render aid. No one was injured, police said.

Two charged: Robert S. Dean and Eric W. Ross, both of Ellsworth, were charged by state police with disorderly conduct and harassment stemming from a July 12 confrontation at 1 Pear St.

Theft arrest: Dennis James Dropko, 36, of 417 Parkinson St., Monongahela, was arrested Tuesday by Monongahela police on charges of theft and access device fraud after a resident report that her bank debit card had been used to make $13,000 in withdrawals since the beginning of the year at an automated teller machine at a Main Street convenience store. Dropko was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County Jail on $15,000 bond.

Theft charges: Charles A. Rosol Jr., 36, of 477 Reed Ave., Monessen, was charged Tuesday by North Franklin police with theft after he allegedly stole $2,773.99 from Sears, Washington Crown Center, while working as the manager of the automotive department. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Charged in crash: Francis J. Abate IV, 35, of Ambridge, was charged Tuesday by North Franklin police with resisting arrest, leaving the scene of a crash and traffic violations after he allegedly fled the scene of a crash Friday. Police said he crashed through a fence and down a hill at Sunrise Sunoco, 1550 W. Chestnut St., and then fled on foot. He reportedly resisted police as they took him into custody. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

One injured: Joseph Stumpf, 50, of 201 Richland Ave., Canonsburg, was injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Route 519 at Township Lane. North Strabane police said he was going north on Route 519 when a southbound vehicle driven by James Fellin, 52, of 736 Valley View Road, Eighty Four, turned left, striking Stumpf’s vehicle. Stumpf was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.

Medication stolen: Beth Gannon of Washington told Washington police Tuesday prescription medication was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the 100 block of North Main Street.

Vehicle painted: Lisa Gaten of 39 N. Main St. told Washington police Tuesday paint was dumped on her vehicle.

Vehicle stolen: A vehicle owned by Ian Mayhew of Beech Bottom, W.Va., was reported stolen June 30 from 1700 Majorsville Road, state police said. Items also were stolen from another vehicle parked there, owned by Korrie O’Donnell of Moundsville, W.Va.
