Bridge to Crown Center mall will close
The bridge connecting Franklin Farms Road and South Ring Road in the area of Washington Crown Center mall is slated to be closed Monday as a reconstruction project gets underway.
Pugliano Construction Co. of Pittsburgh has the contract to replace the bridge over Chartiers Creek, at a cost of $584,483. Until the bridge reopens, the sole access to the mall, the Washington Wild Things’ field and other businesses in the area of the mall will be from West Chestnut Street. The work is expected to take about two months.
