State Rep. Bud Cook, R-West Pike Run Township, plans a town hall meeting for 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at New Eagle Volunteer Fire Department, 165 Main St., for Mon Valley residents in his district and other stakeholders to discuss what he termed “major quality-of-life issues” in the 49th Legislative District.

Cook plans to begin the meeting with an update on local and state legislative initiatives, followed by a panel discussion and question-and-answer session with the audience and borough council members, township supervisors, school directors and county commissioners.

Cook asks those who plan to attend to register with his Bentleyville district office at 724-669-2242.
