STRATTANVILLE (AP) – An autopsy was set on the body of a tractor-trailer driver killed when his rig rear-ended another truck and burst into flames on Interstate 80 in Western Pennsylvania.

Clarion County Coroner Terry Shaffer says the driver and his truck were burned beyond recognition in the crash about 4 p.m. Sunday. It happened between Exits 64 and 70 in the eastbound lanes, near Strattanville.

There were no other injuries reported.

Monday’s autopsy will determine whether the driver died upon impact or because of the burns and could yield clues as to what caused the crash, which state police were still investigating.

The coroner didn’t immediately return a call seeking updated information Monday.
