Two men, already facing robbery and other charges for allegedly robbing a Finleyville convenience store Sunday, were arraigned Wednesday on more charges filed by Canonsburg police.

Joseph Daniel Madden, 27, of 25 Meyers Road, Washington, and Patrick Joseph O’Reilly, 25, of 109 Wylie Ave., Strabane, are charged with robbery, conspiracy, simple assault and reckless endangerment for their roles in allegedly trying to rob a man of $160 at an automated teller machine on North Central Avenue at the PNC Bank.

A woman driving past saw what appeared to be a robbery and got a license number of the vehicle driven by O’Reilly. The alleged victim came to the police station to report the theft.

Madden was caught by Canonsburg police as he walked on South Central Avenue. O’Reilly came to the borough police station on his own.

The two were arrested Sunday for allegedly robbing the Sunoco, 3580 Washington Road. They were in Washington County jail on $75,000 on the charges filed by Monongahela police.
