Burgettstown Area H.S. to graduate 90
Burgettstown Area High School will graduate 90 seniors at 7 p.m. today at KeyBank Pavilion.
Dante Marcucci is the valedictorian and Dylan Thomas Bertovich is the salutatorian.
Marcucci, the son of Amy and Paul Marcucci of Burgettstown, is the class president and president of student council. He has received the Mary Jeanne Hanna Scholarship, the Charlie Mahoney Memorial Scholarship, the Washington Rotary Club Academic Scholarship, the Pittsburgh Italian Scholarship Fund and the Italian-American Heritage and Cultural Society of Washington County Scholarship. Marcucci plans to attend Penn State University to pursue a degree in mathematics.
Bertovich, the son of Linda and Dave Bertovich of Avella, is the captain of the varsity soccer team, member of the National Honor Society and vice president of the physics club. He received the Mary Jeanne Hanna Scholarship, Megan Phyllis Scholarship, the Lions Club Scholarship and the Academic and Scholastic Excellence awards. Bertovich plans to attend Washington & Jefferson College to pursue a degree in biology and pre-medicine.
