Tip jar stolen: An employee of Starbuck’s, 111 Cavasina Drive, told Canonsburg police Wednesday a tip jar was stolen from the drive-thru window.

Water tank fire: Canonsburg police and firefighters were called Wednesday to Walgreen’s, 100 Cavasina Drive, when a hot water tank caught fire inside the store. Electric power was cut to the area of the building.

Tires slashed: Fallynn Sutton, 341 N. Jefferson Ave., told Canonsburg police Wednesday the tires on her vehicle were slashed while it was parked outside her home.

Vehicles entered: Richard Chadwick, 535 Ridge Ave., told Canonsburg police Wednesday his car and box truck were entered overnight. Loose change was stolen from the car and $20 and a cellphone charger were stolen from the truck.

Drug arrest: Tammy Lee Kyle, 41, of 1106 Meadow Ave., Charleroi, is charged by city police with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia over allegations she had a bag of crack and five doses of Tramadol during a traffic stop about 2 p.m. June 3 at Schoonmaker Avenue and Lock Street, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges in a summons Wednesday.

Resisting, flight charges: Kirsty Marie Thorpe, 27, of 710 Seventh St., North Charleroi, was arrested Wednesday by Charleroi Regional police on charges of resisting arrest, flight to avoid apprehension and possession of heroin and paraphernalia. Police were called to an apartment for a domestic between a mother and daughter. She reportedly fled when she learned police were on the way. She was taken into custody after she had to be helped up from a steep embankment by Lock No. 4 firefighters. Thorpe was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $100 bond.

Driver injured: Courtney A. Miller, 21, of Moundsville, W.Va., was injured early Monday when her eastbound vehicle went off Interstate 70, North Franklin, and hit an embankment. The vehicle then went through the median and came to rest near the westbound berm. Miller, who was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment, will be charged with failure to drive at a safe speed.

Theft arrest: Terry Lee Workman, 37, of 308 Route 88, Elco, was arrested Wednesday by South Strabane police on a charge of felony retail theft after he allegedly stole items including fitness trackers from Kohl’s, Strabane Square. The items were valued at $469.93, police said. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $1,000 bond.

Warrant arrest: Frank Green, 31, whose last known address was North Main Street, Washington, was taken into custody early Thursday by Chartiers police who were called to a domestic on West Grant Street. Green was wanted on a warrant obtained by Washington police on a charge of failure to comply with registration of a sexual offender. When police inquired about his residence status, a detective was told that he lived in Canonsburg. Green was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Bicycle stolen: Ernie Vaden, 124 Pine St., told Washington police Wednesday a mountain bicycle was stolen from outside his home.

Driver faces charges: Melissa Eakin, 46, of 29 Broad St., Marianna, will be charged by Washington police with disorderly conduct, harassment and reckless driving after she allegedly intentionally rammed her estranged husband’s vehicle at the intersection of Jefferson and Hall avenues, Wednesday.

Medication stolen: Patricia Brodak, 775 Allison Ave., told Washington police Wednesday prescription medication was stolen from her home.
