Flash flood warning issued for east central Washington County
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Southwestern Pennsylvania east central Washington County, southern Allegheny County and southwestern Westmoreland County.
The warning is in effect from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
NWS said that Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain and that areas that will experience flooding include Monessen, Donora, Monongahela, Charleroi, New Eagle, North Belle Vernon, North Charleroi and Speers. The area includes Interstate 70 near mile marker 41.
