Man jailed, accused of raping 12-year-old
A Washington man was placed in Washington County jail Tuesday for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl.
Christopher M. Holiday, 21, of West Wylie Avenue, is charged with one count each of rape of a child, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old and indecent exposure. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in jail on $25,000 bond.
According to Washington police, the father of the alleged victim said Holiday was a guest in his home on Duncan Avenue when the incident occurred May 25. The father said Holiday attempted to engage in a sex act with the girl in the kitchen.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 26 before Redlinger.
