Construction of the Pike Run Road bridge, spanning Pike Run in West Pike Run Township, is scheduled to begin the week of June 26 as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.

Replacement of the bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from Washington County’s structurally deficient bridge list. Construction is expected to be complete in early September. During this time, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Route 481, Route 40 (National Pike) and Daisytown Road.
