South Strabane crash victims identified

South Strabane Township police have identified the three people injured Sunday in a two-vehicle crash on Route 19 (Washington Road) at Trinity Point Drive.

A vehicle driven by Robert Hoover, 57, of Oxford, Ohio, appeared to have gone through a red light as he drove north on Route 19, colliding with a vehicle driven by Maria Ross, 72, of Canton Township, as she drove from Strabane Square.

Hoover was flown to UPMC, Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh. Hoover’s 86-year-old mother, Rose Hoover, of Fairfield, Ohio, who was a passenger in his vehicle, and Ross were taken to Washington Hospital.
